This morning the P5/6 class had the pleasure of welcoming Arnold to our classroom as part of our World War 1 topic. He shared a wealth of fascinating knowledge and stories that really brought history to life for the pupils.
The pupils were captivated by his presentation and loving having the opportunity to ask questions, explore a wide range of WW1 memorabilia and even got to hold some of the artefacts themselves.
Arnold encouraged us to think about our own family connections to WW1 and shared a long list of local men from Coagh and the surrounding area who fought in WW1, helping us to reflect on the bravery and sacrifice from within the local community.
A massive thank you to Arnold for such a brilliant morning.
