Today marked the first week of our Ulster Scots Club, and what a fantastic start it was! We were delighted to welcome Clayre Evans to our school, where she introduced the pupils to Country Dance. The children thoroughly enjoyed learning the steps, moving to the rhythm, and getting a taste of traditional Ulster Scots culture.
We’re already looking forward to next week, when the focus of the club will be the Lambeg Drum. It promises to be another exciting and enriching session as pupils explore one of the most iconic sounds of Ulster Scots heritage.
