Tri?County Boys’ Hockey Tournament
Our boys’ hockey team recently took part in the Tri?County Hockey Tournament, where many of the players were competing in just their second hockey tournament.
The boys made huge strides from their previous outing, showing great improvement and determination throughout the day. They were competitive in every match and were unlucky not to register a few more points on the board. The team played against Cookstown, Orritor, Moneymore, Phoenix and Ballytrea, recording an excellent victory and a draw, with two narrow defeats by a single goal.
This was an excellent achievement and bodes very well for next year, particularly as only two members of the squad are currently in P7.
A special mention goes to Jackson and Eden, who played in their final hockey tournament for Coagh Primary School. Their commitment and effort throughout their time representing the school has been greatly appreciated.
Well done to all the boys for their teamwork, effort and sportsmanship.
