Sentinus Junior Innovators Event 2026

12th Jun 2026
Sentinus Junior Innovators Event 2026 – A Fantastic Achievement for P7 Pupils     Four of our Primary 7 pupils travelled to Craigavon to take part in the Sentinus Junior Innovators Event 2026, representing Coagh Primary School with enthusiasm, creativity and teamwork.     Olivia and Emily participated in the Primary STEM Challenge, where pupils were asked to think like engineers and scientists. Their task was to design and build the tallest possible structure capable of supporting a 200g weight for at least 30 seconds, using only provided materials. This challenge required careful planning, problem-solving and collaboration. Olivia and Emily worked brilliantly together and successfully completed their tower, demonstrating excellent resilience and design skills.     Meanwhile, Eli and Mark took part in the K’NEX Construction Challenge, which involved designing and constructing a functional model based on a World Cup stadium brief. Their task included creating a strong and stable structure with moving parts. Eli and Mark impressed judges with their football stadium featuring a retractable roof, showcasing outstanding creativity and engineering thinking.     We are delighted to share that Eli and Mark achieved an excellent 3rd place, a fantastic accomplishment that builds on the school’s success at last year’s event. This result highlights the continued progression and growing confidence of our pupils in STEM learning at Coagh Primary School.     Events like the Sentinus Junior Innovators encourage pupils to develop key skills such as critical thinking, teamwork, creativity and confident presentation. We are incredibly proud of all four pupils for their effort, attitude and achievements throughout the day.     Well done to everyone involved – a wonderful representation of Coagh Primary School!
