As part of their topic in World Around Us, P4/5 have been learning all about Light. To bring their learning to life, the children headed out to the playground on a sunny day to investigate shadows. They worked in pairs to draw around each other's shadows using chalk.
Once their shadow shapes were complete, they got creative by decorating them using natural materials they found around the playground—such as leaves, twigs, grass, and stones. The results were fantastic with each child producing a unique and imaginative piece of art.
