Prize Day 2026 – Celebrating Our P1–P6 Pupils

26th Jun 2026
Prize Day 2026 – Celebrating Our P1–P6 Pupils   Today (Friday 26th June 2026), Coagh Primary School proudly celebrated Prize Day for our P1–P6 pupils. It was a wonderful occasion, with parents, grandparents, family members and friends joining us to recognise and celebrate the achievements and progress of our children over the past academic year.   The event highlighted far more than certificates and trophies. It was an opportunity to celebrate the hard work, determination, kindness and resilience demonstrated by our pupils each day. Every child has grown in their own unique way, and we are incredibly proud of all that has been accomplished this year.   Our programme reflected the wide range of talent within our school.    A range of awards and cups were presented to recognise achievement and effort across all areas of school life.   These included:
  • Arts Cups for creativity and talent in music, drama and visual arts
  • Achievement Cups for academic progress and success across subjects
  • Modern Languages Cups for enthusiasm and excellence in languages
  • Behaviour Cups for consistently demonstrating kindness, respect and good manners
  • ‘Motto’ Cups for pupils who best embody our school values of Happiness, Excellence and Achievement
  • Literacy and Numeracy Cups for outstanding attainment in English and Mathematics
A special moment in the programme was the presentation to Mrs Montgomery, recognising her contribution to school life. We also thank all pupils who took part in readings, performances and organisational roles, helping to make the event run so smoothly.   We are extremely grateful to our dedicated staff for their commitment and care throughout the year, and to our parents and families for their continued support. The strong partnership between home and school plays a vital role in ensuring our children thrive.   As Prize Day came to a close, families were invited to stay for tea and coffee, providing a lovely opportunity to reflect on the year and celebrate together as a school community.   Congratulations to all of our pupils on a fantastic year. We wish everyone a safe, happy and restful summer and look forward to welcoming you back in the new school year.   Coagh Primary School – Happiness, Excellence and Achievement
