Pancake Tuesday
Pancake Tuesday
Today we celebrated Pancake Tuesday in school, and it was a wonderful hands?on learning experience for all our pupils. Each class had the opportunity to weigh out ingredients, mix everything together and prepare the pancake batter ready for cooking. The pupils thoroughly enjoyed being involved in every step of the process.
A huge thank you to Mrs Carleton and Mrs Moore, who spent the morning cooking pancakes for all the pupils. We also extend a special thank you to Joshua Lawerence who is a baker with Lawrence's Bakery (Magherafelt), who joined us as a guest helper and shared some of his baking expertise.
The pupils loved eating their pancakes, although we must admit that not many opted for the healthy toppings on offer. Nevertheless, it was a fun and memorable day for everyone involved.
If anyone wishes to use the recipe for making pancakes it is-
