P6/7 have been enjoying working through some Numeracy challenges over the last few days indoors and outdoors.
These included making fractions with outdoor materials, making a metre or 1/2 or 1/4 of a metre using outdoor materials then testing with a metre stick to see if their estimation was correct. They made 3D shapes with mini marshmallows and cocktail sticks and found different types of angles; acute, obtuse, right angles and straight angles. Finally they sorted outdoor materials using Venn diagrams and played some Numeracy game challenges.
