P4, P5 & P6 Trip to Ulster Folk and Transport Museum
P4, P5 & P6 Trip to Ulster Folk and Transport Museum
Our P4, P5 and P6 pupils had a fantastic day at the Ulster Folk and Transport Museum, stepping back in time to experience life over 120 years ago!
The children loved exploring the village and getting hands-on with the kinds of jobs people would have done long ago, both in the town and on the farm. From lifting eggs and washing clothes by hand to visiting the animals and even helping to ‘muck out’ the pig sties – they fully embraced the experience!
A highlight of the day was tasting delicious homemade soda bread and exploring the traditional houses and buildings throughout the town. The sweet shop was a particular favourite, where pupils were fascinated watching old-fashioned scales carefully weighing out ounces of treats.
It was a wonderful day filled with learning and sunshine!
