Online Safety at Coagh Primary School

Today we were pleased to welcome PSNI Officers Wendy and Nathan to Coagh Primary School. Throughout the morning, they spoke with all classes about the importance of staying safe online, sharing age?appropriate guidance and practical advice with every year group.

For our Key Stage 2 pupils, there was a particular focus on online communication through gaming consoles, messaging apps and social platforms. Pupils were encouraged to think carefully about who they interact with online, what information they should keep private, and what is and isn’t appropriate to post or repost.

At Coagh Primary School, we strongly encourage open and regular conversations between parents and children about staying safe online. Talking together helps pupils become confident, responsible and informed digital citizens.
