McCloy Cup Qualifiers – Girls’ Hockey Team Shine in Cookstown
Today our girls’ hockey team travelled to Cookstown High School to take part in the qualifying tournament for the McCloy Cup (Ulster Hockey Cup for Girls). Throughout the morning, the girls played with fantastic effort, determination, and teamwork.
They recorded two excellent wins — a 1–0 victory over Donaghey with Emily W scoring, and a 2–0 win against Ballytrea, with goals from Ella H and Alana McC. They also faced two defeats (against Woods and Killyman) and earned a well?deserved draw against Magherafelt Primary School.
These results placed the girls 3rd in their group — a brilliant achievement against a number of very strong teams. We are extremely proud of their attitude, skill, and commitment throughout the tournament. Well done, girls!
