As part of our continued Maths Week celebrations, Primary 1 took their learning outside to explore the concept of length by comparing long and short items through engaging, hands-on activities. Using our outdoor activity resources, we created long and short roads for our toy cars, built beanbag snakes of different lengths, and constructed crate snakes to compare size. In the Tuft Spot tray, we carefully arranged pumpkin seeds to form long and short seed lines.
These engaging activities helped reinforce our understanding of length and the relevant language required, while encouraging creativity, teamwork, and lots of laughter. Great fun was had by all!
