Futsal Tournament
This morning, Coagh Primary School had two teams representing the school at the Tri County Futsal Tournament, which was held at Cookstown Leisure Centre.
Seven teams took part in the tournament: Donaghey, Queen Elizabeth II (Pomeroy), Coagh, Ballytrea, Donaghmore, Stewartstown and Coagh ‘Colts’.
Both Coagh teams played competitively throughout the morning, with many closely fought matches where just the odd goal proved to be the difference.
The Coagh ‘Colts’ team showed great determination and teamwork. Their goals were scored by Caleb and Cole.
The Coagh ‘Colts’ squad was:
Mark (GK), Callum, Ryan, Shea, Leon, Joey, Eli, Kai, Isaac, Joel, Caleb, James and Cole.
The Coagh Primary School team were unlucky not to turn a number of draws into wins. Their goals were scored by Jackson (4 goals), Thomas (2 goals) and Matthew McM (1 goal). The team finished the tournament with three wins, two draws and one defeat, which resulted in an excellent third place finish overall.
