Primary 4 have been learning all about area during their maths lessons. The children have been finding out how we can measure the surface of different objects by using non?standard units.
As part of their learning, pupils selected suitable objects to measure items around the classroom. They carefully covered each surface, checking there were no gaps or overlaps, and counted how many units were needed.
This hands?on approach helped the children develop a better understanding of what area means and how choosing the right unit makes measuring more accurate.
