*** Internet Safety ***

13th Feb 2020

This week we had ‘Safer Internet Day’ and as part of this Wendy and Ryan from the PSNI came to speak with the P4/5 and P6/7 classes about keeping safe online. Most of the pupils were very aware of the games and platforms that Wendy and Ryan were talking about and many were actively using them.

It is extremely important for our pupils and their parents to learn about keeping safe online because the Internet is ever evolving and the way children and young adults use devices changes rapidly and is massively different from the way we as adults experienced them.

Wendy from the PSNI will be in school this evening (Thursday 13th February) from 6.30pm - 7.15pm and 7.40pm - 8.25pm to provide parents with some useful advice on keeping their children safe online.

We would really encourage you to take this opportunity to learn from some of the professionals dealing with these issues on a daily basis. These information sessions are timed to run in parallel with the Parents Association ‘Ball in the Hall’ to allow as many parents as possible the opportunity to attend. We look forward to seeing you this evening.
