*** Level 1 and 2 National Cycling Standards ***

20th Nov 2020

It has been great to have Amanda and John in school over the last three days training some of our P6 pupils towards achieving their Level 1 and Level 2 of the National Cycling Standards.

The two groups have worked really well during the less than favourable weather. This has been a fantastic opportunity for the boys and girls to get some expert training on using their bikes on the roads in the village where the majority of them live and cycle on a regular basis.

All the pupils who took part and Miss Muir achieved their Level 2 Awards following an assessment by their instructors.

A massive thank you to Johnny McCrystal our Sustrans Officer who helped organise this training and to the two instructors Amanda and John. All the pupils were a great asset to themselves and the school during the three days through their manners and listening skills.

This training has been a fantastic accompaniment to our successful and long running Cycling Proficiency Scheme which is organised for the P7 pupils during Term 2 and Term 3.

Great work everyone!
